SEC Approves Fee for OTCBB.com Online Trading Activity Reports

Beginning May 22, 2000, a fee will be implemented for the following reports which are currently available on www.OTCBB.com under Historical Research Reports:
  • Market Maker Price Movement Report ($7 per trade date)
  • Trade and Quote Summary ($25 - one calendar month)
  • Time and Sales ($7 per trade date)
  • Inside Quote report ($7 per trade date)
These reports have been available free of charge since February 1999. Once the fee is implemented, users will be prompted to input their credit card information at the time a report request is made. The account will be charged after the report has been generated and just prior to delivery via email.

On November 24, 1999, the NASD filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) a proposed rule change to establish a fee for historical research and administrative reports provided through the OTCBB Web site. Notice of the proposed rule change appeared in the Federal register on December 14, 1999. On January 14, 2000, the SEC issued an order approving the rule change.

Credit Card Safety on OTCBB.com
OTCBB.com uses secure server software (SSL) to encrypt all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. It is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.

All credit card information is transferred from OTCBB.com to our payment vendor for processing using the Simple Commerce Messaging Protocol (SCMP). This secure and authenticating messaging protocol is based on Industry Standard DES and public key cryptography from RSA, there by providing "industrial-strength" security. Not only is the communication line between the business and our payment vendor secure, but the customer payment information itself is encrypted to prevent alteration or tampering. Further, the message is authenticated to verify the identity of the partners sending and receiving the credit card processing request. Each of these measures ensures that payment authorization and settlement are handled with the utmost security.

Our payment vendor securely manages all customer data in accordance with consumer data protection laws enacted worldwide, including data handling, storage, and security.Customer data is used only for facilitating the transaction, and is never sold or provided to any other party.
